Legal Advice: Massage Industry?

October 11th, 2009
Posted by: admin

I’ve been a massage therapist for about two years working at a spa before becoming a therapist I was receptioning there for 3 more years.
When I became a therapist and started working @ the spa the manager tricked me on my pay (I thought I would receive 60% and it was really not even 50%) Well that issue is over because I felt I couldn’t win so I worked there anyway.
Later on I helped out one of my friends who owns another spa and did two massages there as well as a christmas massage party at another spa just for extra cash. Well my managers at my full time spa found out and they were going to fire me!!
They took into consideration that I am a good worker and dependable and ended up not firing me but had me sign an agreement form that says I can’t work anywhere else as a massage therapist. I’m not making enough and work alot but I still want to stay for a bit. Recently I found a room to rent so i can have my own business. What can my managers do if they find out? Other than fire me
LOL Bill I have no clue why I signed that agreement. At that time I didn’t even have the thought of having my own place like I do now.

October 11th, 2009

My hair is usually volume, but now it’s growing out and getting a bit thinner and flatter. I need a very good quality shampoo that can give me more volume and body to my flat hair. But something that won’t dry out my hair of cause frizziness. I especially need volume on top. So what’s the best salon quality volumizing shampoo you have ever used?
Thanks guys :)

How can I make my hair not frizzy without buying any hair products?

I recently got side bangs and now they’re a LOT frizzier than before. Is there any way I can get rid of the frizziness without having to buy any more hair products than I already have?

Strange eyebrow waxing question! :}?

October 11th, 2009
Posted by: admin

This may seem like a funny question, but I’m getting my eyebrows waxed professionally at my friends spa-visit-birthday-party tomorrow, and I have two bad zits right in between my eyebrows.

I don’t want it to be awkward if the stylist is like: “we can’t wax your eyebrows because you’ve got these hideous zits”

Is this going to be a problem, or am I just over reacting? Thanks for help! :)

Where can I rent a room with a private jacuzzi or hot tub in San Diego?

October 10th, 2009
Posted by: admin

Can someone please tell me where to find a nice, clean hotel or bed and breakfast place, or a day spa that offers a private jacuzzi or hot tub inside the room? I’m trying to book a nice romantic weekend for me and my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day, and I’m having a really hard time finding a rental that isn’t just some hourly hot tub room. I want to find a room we can stay in that has a private hot tub that will fit at least 2 people. Otherwise, the next choice is a day spa treatment for two that offers private hot tub rooms as well.

Please let me know if you know of a good place. And “The Tubs” in El Cajon is exactly what I am *NOT* looking for. I want something nice and classy and relaxing, not some seedy, pay-by-the-hour hot tub room.

Thank you,
M

When going to a salon to get your hair trimmed, how would the stylist prefer your hair to be?

October 10th, 2009

Straightened (I usually straighten my hair) or left natural?
I have naturally big curly hair, I know when I go in with curly hair they usually wash it and then trim but when I go in with straight hair they spritz it with a water bottle and then trim it. Which do they prefer?

13 Year Old Girl Party Ideas?

October 10th, 2009
Posted by: admin

My daughter is turning thirteen years old, and we have no clue what to do for her party. (I’m on her account by the way)

She’s definitley not a girly girl, so nix on the manicures and spas. But she’s not a tomboy at all either… she is what you would call “gothic” I suppose. She’s into anything dark, horror, or dark/fantasy. The things is, not all of her friends are like that…

Have any ideas?
